New AWC Construction Begins in 46 Locations Across Meghalaya

Expanding Infrastructure for Early Childhood Services

Construction work has officially commenced at 46 new locations across Meghalaya for model Anganwadi Centres under the MECDM infrastructure programme.

These new centres will feature child-friendly designs with dedicated spaces for play-based learning, clean water and sanitation facilities, storage for supplementary nutrition, and outdoor play areas. Each centre is designed to serve as a neighbourhood hub for early childhood development.
